I was so excited to start this week's project (sad I know) that I did more than planned. I was planning to do the kitchen with the "piles" project, but seeing all the other people's photos on simplemom.net, I got motivated to do flat surfaces as well. Please excuse the quality of the photos, lighting wasn't very good and I did not want to wait to take the pictures. As seen above and below, I did the two surfaces in the kitchen entry. The left side is the closest flat surface to the front door so this becomes the hot spot for everything brought into the home. It's also the dumping ground for keys, wallets, sunglasses and phones. Mostly by the adult male in our household.
The right hand side is not too bad, it is the coffee making, and food preparing station so things sometimes get left out, but hopefully no more.
Next the compactum. It looked terrible. There was just too much clothes and Little Prince has started to unpack these himself and Princess Mia would just bundle it back in. I did remove a lot of his clothes, most of them 3-6 months sizes that he was still wearing sometimes. Poor child.
I know that there are still a lot that can go but I am hanging on to them for a few more weeks. You never know with this weather.
Lastly the wicker chess of drawers, it used to be full of newborn clothes which I removed when little prince moved from his co-sleeper to his own room (about a month and a half ago)
It then became full of all kinds of stuff that couldn't find another home. Unfortunately I did not take or might have taken and lost the photos of the insides.
I decided to use this for something else and we moved it upstairs. The drawers are still empty but I am sure they will get filled in week 3
